The NFLPA recently submitted a letter to commissioner Roger Goodell regarding the contract impasse between the New Orleans Saints and QB Drew Brees. The players’ association asked the league to launch a probe into whether the Saints were acting in good faith in negotiations with Brees. Some within the NFLPA feel that Brees’ work on behalf of the union last year might be working against him. He was one of the name plaintiffs in the lawsuit against the league during the lockout. The NFL declined comment on the story.
