Concordia College QB Griffin Neal signed a three-year contract with the New Orleans Saints Saturday, April 9, according to his college head coach, Terry Horan. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys View: At 6’4″ 220 pounds, Neal is a camp arm with intriguing skills. He went undrafted in 2015, but spent the season in Germany playing for the Hildesheim Invaders of the semi-professional German Football League. He’s the Saints fourth QB behind Drew Brees, Luke McCown and Garrett Grayson. He will be competing for a spot on the practice squad if he can impress in camp.
