There was one player of note at Samford’s pro day March 13, and that was running back Fabian Truss. The workouts took place in their football stadium on a sunny, 40-degree day. Truss (5-8 5/8, 187 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash twice, and his times were a bit unusual: He ran a 4.49 against the wind and 4.53 with the wind.  He also posted a 31-inch vertical and a 9-6 broad jump. He ran the short shuttle in 4.40 and the three-cone drill in 6.96. He did 16 bench presses.
