Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks DE Michael Bennett (knee) is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks after he undergoes surgery to repair cartilage in his knee. The organization is currently in talks with Bennett on a contract extension and a new deal could be in place before he returns to action.

Footballguys View: This is actually good news for the Seahawks compared to the worst case scenarios with Bennett’s knee issue. It is also good news for Drew Brees this week, the Buffalo offense next week, and the Patriots in Week 10 if Bennett isn’t ready in three weeks.
