Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael has drawn praise from offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell for improved mastery of the details of the game. Specifically, Michael’s blocking has improved and he has shown a better understanding of the playbook.
Footballguys View: More and more it seems like the team really wants to sell us (or themselves perhaps?) on Michael either as a future lead back or an alternative to Marshawn Lynch. It could also be leverage of some sort to get Lynch to renegotiate his contract (see we have your replacement already!) or do something else they want. We’ve long thought Michael could be the heir apparent in Seattle and with Lynch a 30-year-old free agent in 2016, the wait might soon be over. While we don’t want you to go hog-wild in either redraft or dynasty, now would be a good time to acquire him in the latter. In terms of redraft, we don’t expect him to be more than bench depth, somewhere along the lines of an RB4-but with a lot of upside for a guy who is going as the 49th RB off the board and 133rd player.
