The Seattle Seahawks may consider releasing WR Sidney Rice this offseason unless he accepts a substantial pay cut. He is scheduled to make an $8.5 million base salary in 2014 and count $9.7 million against the salary cap.

Footballguys View: If the Seahawks release Rice they’ll have to eat $2.4 million in dead money in 2014. He’s a talented player, but injuries have held him back as a pro.
