Seattle Seahawks QB Trevone Boykin has a good shot at earning the backup quarterback position behind QB Russell Wilson, with only QB Jake Heaps with whom to compete. Head coach Pete Carroll thinks Boykin’s style of play fits well with Seattle’s offense and is similar to Wilson.

Footballguys View: Wilson is still the man here, and with his contract running until the end of the 2019 NFL season, that won’t change but Boykin is a good safety net against serious injury as he will not require a change to the offense if Wilson is hurt.
