Pittsburgh Steelers SS Shamarko Thomas has been working out with SS Troy Polamalu since the end of offseason workouts, according to CB Ike Taylor. Taylor said Polamalu invited Thomas to work out with him, which is something Polamalu rarely does with other players.

Footballguys View: A fourth-round pick in the 2013 NFL draft, Thomas has an aggressive mentality and arrives at the ball with natural violence–just like Polamalu. His aggressive nature will make him bite on play fakes, route fakes and head fakes. Thomas needs to tone it down just a bit so he doesn’t get out of position after the fake. We’ll see if working with Polamalu will help the young safety start to play up to his potential.
