Steelers | Xavier Grimble primed for more playing time?

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Xavier Grimble played more than twice as many snaps per game with Ladarius Green out than in last season. Prior to breaking his ribs in the second half of last season, Grimble averaged 19.9 snaps per contest.

Footballguys View: Writers are only left to speculate who is going to be the lead tight end for the Steelers now that Ladarius Green has been released. Grimble is not a plus-athlete, but his big body (6’4″ 261 pounds) helps him box out smaller defenders. He’ll compete with Jesse James (the likely favorite) for the starting tight end job in 2017.
