Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (foot) is proving he’s the leader of the Titans, according to quarterbacks coach John McNulty. McNulty added that Locker’s work ethic and intangibles are unquestioned. The fourth-year quarterback is comfortable with his reads and has shown good footwork and decision-making. He is ahead of schedule in recovering from a Lisfranc injury and surgery last year.
Footballguys View: It’s a make-or-break year for Locker in 2014. He was selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft to be the team’s franchise quarterback, but injuries have prevented him from playing up to his potential. We’ll see if he can stay healthy and prove himself under new head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
