Titans | Kenny Britt a non-factor

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt once again was lackluster in the team’s Week 3 win over the San Diego Chargers and had several drops. In a key late-game third-and-long situation, Britt was benched in favor of WR Justin Hunter, who wound up making the game-winning touchdown catch. Britt was on the sideline for all of the team’s 10 plays during their 94-yard game-winning drive. WR Nate Washington, who had eight catches in the game, has become the team’s top wideout, with WR Kendall Wright running more of the underneath routes. Britt said he was banged up with a sore neck and bruised rib from a scary tackle in the second quarter, but offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said the receiver rotation on the final drive was a coaching decision. Britt was targeted five times in the game and didn’t have a single catch, including two drops. ‘Kenny’s still a physical specimen. He’s going to be part of this offense,’ Loggains said. ‘We just have to clean that stuff up. We can’t have dropped balls from anyone. We can’t have penalties. We can be a good football team if we clean that stuff up. We’re not going to be good if we’re stupid.’
