Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook is unlikely to hold out during the 2020 season because of new rules within the collective bargaining agreement, according to ESPN.com’s Courtney Cronin. He would stand to be fined $50,000 for each day of camp missed and he would be unable to recover those funds even if an extension is worked out. In addition, Cook would not accrue a year of service toward free agency if he doesn’t appear at camp by the mandatory reporting date or if he leaves the team after that date. Cook is slated to earn $1.3 million during the final year of his rookie contract.
