The Minnesota Vikings have re-signed exclusive rights free-agent RB Matt Asiata. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Footballguys View: Toby Gerhart moved on in free agency to the Jacksonville Jaguars. This makes Asiata the primary backup behind Adrian Peterson at this time. Last year, fantasy owners benefited from plugging Asiata into the lineup when Peterson was out. He’s certainly got a nose for the end zone and runs with a hard-charging style.
