Minnesota Vikings RB Matt Asiata is working to serve as the primary backup to RB Adrian Peterson now that RB Toby Gerhart (Jaguars) is gone. The team elected to keep the exclusive rights free agent, signing him to a one-year, $570,000 contract this month. General manager Rick Spielman said the team is looking for depth at running back, but the team hasn’t displayed an urgency to address the spot the first two weeks of free agency.
