Minnesota Vikings RB Matt Asiata received most of the reps with the first-team offense during organized team activities Thursday, June 5, because RB Adrian Peterson was not present for the workout. RB Jerick McKinnon also received reps with the starters.

Footballguys View: This is the primary backup to Adrian Peterson now that Toby Gerhart has moved on to Jacksonville. Asaita may not be much of a big-play threat, but he’s certainly got a nose for the end zone. McKinnon is a converted college quarterback who is going to try his hand at running back in the NFL.
