Cowboys | Dallas Day workouts netted four good ones

The Dallas Cowboys hold their annual Dallas Day workouts before the draft for players with ties to the local area. Former WR Patrick Crayton is the biggest success story from past workouts, but current RB Phillip Tanner is an example on the current roster of a player who caught the eye of the team in Dallas Day workouts. Four players were inked as a result of these workouts this year. LB Adrian Hamilton is a pass rusher who has a chance to make the team. CB Isaac Madison earned some reps with the first-team nickel package, and will be fighting for a fifth cornerback job in training camp. WR Cole Beasley might be another option in the pass game, while RB Lance Dunbar will be fighting for the No. 3 running back job. Dunbar will also get a chance to impress on kickoff returns.

Jets | Plaxico Burress apparently not fan of Mark Sanchez

Free-agent WR Plaxico Burress said he believes QB Tim Tebow could replace QB Mark Sanchez by midseason as the team’s starting quarterback. ‘It’s a possibility, you can’t rule it out,’ Burress said. ‘I mean, they did bring him in for a reason. I think he’s going to make Mark Sanchez a better quarterback. When they bring in somebody at your position, he’s going to compete for it.’ Burress reportedly doesn’t think much of Sanchez as a QB, and he told friends late last season he was no fan of Sanchez.

Jets | Unlikely to re-negotiate contract of Darrelle Revis?

The New York Jets braintrust sounds unwilling to re-negotiate the contract of CB Darrelle Revis, and they expect him to report for training camp. General manager Mike Tannenbaum and team owner Woody Johnson has evaded questions about the subject, and Revis sounds like he might be headed for a second holdout in just three years. Revis stated he is ‘not unhappy’ about his current contract, but also said he believed the team promised to re-visit his current deal after two years.
