Bears | Matt Forte will play for team this season

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte made it clear Friday, June 29, that he will play for the team this season. ‘I don’t think I really have a choice, do I?,’ Forte said. ‘Yeah, I’ll be here.’ It is uncertain if that means he’ll report to training camp when it starts, and he was evasive when asked if he would be on time. If Forte signs the franchise tender, he would make $7.749 million this season. Forte and the Bears have until July 16 to work out a multi-year deal.

Ravens | Likely to have only five WRs on active roster

Baltimore Ravens WRs Tommy Streeter and Deonte Thompson have performed solid in offseason workouts, but they are still facing an uphill battle during training camp for a spot on the active roster. If one, or both, make the roster for Week 1, it might be because WR David Reed (knee) is not ready for the season, and he begins on the Physically-Unable-to-Perform (PUP) list.
