The Denver Broncos have offered OT Ryan Clady a five-year, $50 million contract extension, with $28 million guaranteed, according to an NFL source. However, the source said Clady and his agent are seeking a deal that would slightly exceed the contract of Cleveland Browns OT Joe Thomas, who received an extension last summer which averages $11.5 million per season. If Clady doesn’t sign the extension, he would be eligible to become a free agent at season’s end.

Broncos | Peyton Manning calls shooting victims

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning is calling hospital victims of the Colorado theater shooting to lift their spirits. A spokeswoman for the Medical Center of Aurora said Sunday, July 22, that Manning spoke one-on-one by phone Saturday, July 21, with several patients brought there after the movie shooting.

In his last week before training camp, Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick hung around in Lake Tahoe for the celebrity golf tournament. We were there, as you probably read.
