Jets | Santonio Holmes changes stance on two QBs

New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes said he thinks QBs Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow can be effective this year because everything will be scripted, with Tebow operating on a set number of plays. Without that dynamic, Holmes doesn’t think a two-QB system can work in the NFL. ‘You have to allow one quarterback to get into the rhythm of a game and it starts from the preparation in practice,’ Holmes said. ‘(It’s) knowing the first couple of plays that he’s going to take these reps, it’s getting the feel for coming onto the field with the crowd awaiting you, it’s making the mistakes early in the game to finishing the games at the end.’ Holmes expressed confidence that Tebow will execute the plays that he’s called upon in certain wild-cat situations. Holmes praised both QBs during Sanchez’s annual passing camp last week.
