Titans | Release O.J. Murdock statement

The Tennessee Titans released the following statement Monday, July 30, on the death of WR O.J. Murdock: ‘We are shocked and saddened to hear of O.J. Murdock’s death this morning. In his brief time here, a number of our players, coaches and staff had grown close to O.J., and this is a difficult time for them. He spent the last year battling back from an Achilles’ injury as he prepared for this year’s training camp. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they try to cope with this tragedy.’

Jaguars | Want more from Laurent Robinson

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey has not been impressed with WR Laurent Robinson early on in training camp. Mularkey wants Robinson to make more plays in practice, although he expects Robinson to eventually step up. ‘He’s got to make some plays. Maybe he’s pressing. I’m not sure,’ Mularkey said. ‘I know he knows it. Heck, he’s been around the league a long time, and he knows he’s got make a play. Sometimes, you press. He’ll come around … All he has to do is make one, and they’ll come in bunches.’
