Eagles | Michael Vick excited for upcoming season

Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick said there is so much optimism surrounding the team that he cannot wait to begin the 2012 season. ‘Usually I don’t want to go to camp,’ Vick said. ‘That part I will admit. But this year, I feel like we’re going to have fun with it. We’re going to really enjoy it and make the most out of it. I’m excited. Like I said, I have never been this excited for a season.’

NFL | Priest Holmes says he suffered many head shots

Former NFL RB Priest Holmes said he suffered multiple head-to-head shots during his playing days. Many of those hits left him dizzy and seeing different colors. ‘This color obviously isn’t going to be blue. It can be a color that can be orange. It can be red. The sky could turn green,’ Holmes said. ‘There’s even an episode where you see a clear light, like light at the end of the tunnel.’ The hundreds of body and head shots have affected his daily life. ‘The frontal headaches, the migraines. Laying in bed, it’s tough to get out mornings just because of the pain that is setting in with an arthritic condition, it’s things like that that you never would have really thought about,’ Holmes said.

Rams | Sam Bradford glad he stayed in school

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford said he is glad he stayed in school at Oklahoma after winning the Heisman Trophy. Bradford acknowledged he could not have led a huddle at 21 years of age. ‘I know coming back was the complete right decision for me. There’s no way I was ready to leave college after two and a half years,’ Bradford said. ‘Even though I came back and got hurt, the experience that I gained in that extra year was invaluable. There’s no way I would have been able to step into an NFL huddle and lead an NFL team at 21 years old.’
