Ravens | No deal imminent for Ray Rice

The Baltimore Ravens and unsigned franchise player RB Ray Rice are nearing a deadline of Monday, July 16, at 4 p.m. ET to get a deal done. If the two sides cannot work out a long-term deal, Rice will play this season under a $7.742 million franchise tag. ‘Honestly, I just let my agent take care of all that stuff,’ Rice said. ‘My job, I just stay in shape. I know the business side will always take care of itself.’

Packers | Several likely battling for one spot

Green Bay Packers WRs Diondre Borel and Tori Gurley are considered the favorites to make the 53-man roster for the potential sixth wide receiver spot, but they’ll need to hold off youngsters like WRs Dale Moss and Shaky Smithson. ‘It’s got to be the deepest we’ve been since I’ve been here,’ WR Jordy Nelson said. ‘It’s going to be difficult. It always will be. If you have a good team, which we have a good team, and are hopeful about making a run, it’s going to be hard to make any position.’
