NFL | Six teams with multiple reps at WR Gordon’s workout

John McClain, from the Houston Chronicle, reports via Twitter that there were 21 teams on hand for Josh Gordon’s pro day. There were six teams with multiple representatives at the workout.

Our View: McClain didn’t reveal who the six teams were, but we’d expect the Browns, Dolphins, Cowboys, Bills, Redskins, and the Eagles to show extra interest in the talented WR.

NFL | WR Gordon interviews well

John McClain, from the Houston Chronicle, reports via Twitter that former Baylor WR Josh Gordon interviewed well at his pro day. Gordon said all the right things, and admitted he was suspended by Baylor after a failed drug test (marijuana). Gordon said he learned his lesson and vowed never to do it again.

Our View: More good news for Gordon’s workout here. Off field concerns could give teams pause when considering the talented WR in the Supplemental Draft. Gordon ran a slower than expected 40 time (4.5) but impressed scouts by working through a quad injury and not dropping any passes during his workout.

NFL | WR Gordon slow 40 ‘not a big deal’ for scouts

Cecil Lammey, NFL Insider for 102.3 ESPN Denver and senior writer for Footballguys.com, reports via Twitter that a source in the scouting community told him that Josh Gordon’s slower than expected 40-yard dash time is ‘not a big deal.’ Some thought Gordon to run in the high 4.3 or low 4.4 range, but he clocked in at 4.5 during his Tuesday workout in front of representatives from 21 NFL teams.

Our View: Gordon’s lack of preparation time, plus reported quad injury led to the slow time. However, he impressed scouts by continuing the workout and not dropping a pass. This 40-time is unlikely to hurt his draft stock. Some say Gordon could go off the board with the third-round pick in Thursday’s Supplemental Draft.

NFL | WR Gordon hurt quad during workout

Tony Pauline, from TFY Draft and Sports Illustrated, reports via Twitter that former Baylor WR Josh Gordon pulled/hurt his quad during his 40-yard dash. He continued with the workout and reportedly did not drop a pass.

Our View: The injured quad would help explain the slower than expected 4.5 40-yard dash. Even with the injury it sounds like Gordon put on an impressive show at his pro day.

NFL | WR Gordon runs 4.5 40-yard dash at Pro Day

Adam Caplan, from The Sideline View, reports former Baylor WR Josh Gordon ran a 4.5 40-yard dash at his pro day. He also measured in at 6’3″ 224 lbs, had a 36″ vertical, 10’1″ broad jump, and 13 bench press reps.

Our View: The 40 time is slower than what was expected, but is still good for a player with his size. Some think Gordon could be selected with a third-round pick in the Supplemental Draft on Thursday.
