Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said the truth will come out over his arrest at a Houston nightclub. As of Sunday, July 8, Peterson remained charged only with resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor in Texas. Houston police allege that he initiated a confrontation with an off-duty police officer and ultimately needed three officers to get him under arrest. He has a court date Friday, July 13. ‘A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on,’ Peterson said via Twitter. ‘Thank you for waiting for the facts. Truth will surface.’
