Bills | Eric Wood feeling good

Buffalo Bills C Eric Wood (knee) said his knee is feeling good and is on track to be ready for the start of the regular season. Wood is expected to be ready for training camp but may be limited in his work at the beginning of camp and gradually get more reps. Head coach Chan Gailey said Wood may work every other day at the beginning of camp and then get more work as camp goes.

Cardinals | Ryan Williams on schedule

Arizona Cardinals RB Ryan Williams (knee) is believed to be on schedule in his rehab and could even be a little ahead of schedule at this point.

Our View: Good news for Williams and the Cardinals here, but we still expect the team to be cautious with him in training camp. The second-year RB may be featured more than some think if starter Beanie Wells can’t stay healthy. Williams has great vision and acceleration in the open field, and is more than capable of being a full time starter who could put up RB2 numbers if given the opportunity. His current ADP is RB39 and he’s going off the board in the early 9th round.

Packers | Jerel Worthy saw time with starters

Green Bay Packers DL Jerel Worthy said he saw a lot of time with the starting defense during offseason workouts. Worthy said the defensive coaches said they plan to have Worthy to play with the starting defense often this season.

Our View: No surprise here. Worthy has great functional strength and his best attribute is his ability to shed blockers. He’s got violent, strong hands, understands leverage and can rush the passer from the middle of the D-Line.

Lions | Tony Scheffler could get bigger role

Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said TE Tony Scheffler could receive a bigger role on offense this season because of his ability to be a receiver as well as a blocker in the offensive scheme. The team may look to get Scheffler into more favorable matchups this season.

Our View: Scheffler is a good move TE with the speed to consistently attack the deep middle seam of the defense. He’s a matchup player, but will still have to split targets at the TE position with Brandon Pettigrew.

Ravens | Tyrod Taylor will have edge entering camp

Baltimore Ravens QB Tyrod Taylor will enter training camp as the favorite for the No. 2 quarterback over QB Curtis Painter.

Our View: Taylor has a very strong arm, experience in the system, and incredible athletic ability. Painter has experience working with new Ravens QB coach Jim Caldwell from their time together with the Colts.
