Vikings | Adrian Peterson to be limited early on?

Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier indicated RB Adrian Peterson (knee) might be limited during the early part of the regular season, as the star makes his way back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his knee in December. ‘He’s so valuable to our organization that we have to be smart. We’ll tread lightly as far as Week 1 and how much he’ll contribute on the field,’ Frazier said Tuesday, July 3. ‘Even when we get to training camp, he’s going to be chomping at the bit but we’ll have to be smart.’

Packers | Andrew Datko making his way back

Green Bay Packers OT Andrew Datko (shoulder) has not seen game action since Sept. 24, 2011, when he was at Florida State, due to a troublesome shoulder. He appears to be healed, and he will wear a brace for the shoulder. Datko, who was a left tackle in college, said he alternated between the right and left sides during organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp. With the depth chart behind the starters wide open, the seventh-round pick has a chance to stick around.
