Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill has shown flashes in workouts
Miami Dolphins WR Brian Hartline said QB Ryan Tannehill has shown flashes during offseason workouts, adding Tannehill has a presence about him. ‘He definitely has a presence,’ Hartline said of Tannehill. ‘Which is great. He’s a guy that he knows what he wants, he knows the offense. I think that definitely helps him a lot … For me, I feel like the first couple of weeks, you hope to see flashes. Because you’ve got to have something there, and there’s no doubt in my mind that I saw flashes. The ball coming out of his hand is good, is great. His timing is really good. On a couple of routes, you can tell he’s really comfortable. He can plant that foot and release without any gather step, so there’s definitely some flashes.’

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill not expected to start
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is not in the running to start right now due to his untimely mistakes, particularly when throwing into traffic. Head coach Joe Philbin has made it clear that turnovers will not be tolerated, so for the time being Tannehill will continue to work as the No. 3 quarterback.
Our View: Right now Matt Moore and David Garrard should be the starter for the Dolphins. Maybe at some point during the year Tannehill can take over as the starter as he’s the team’s future. Tannehill is well versed in this offense because Mike Sherman (his former college coach) is the Dolphins new Offensive Coordinator.

Stepping away from the computer: And when I come back…
So, we started here with our first post on April 25, and away we went. Along with our TV responsibilities, we’ve spent quite a bit of time here over the past few months. Expect a lot more of it. We’ve had some regular features on The Rap Sheet — like this one and this one — and figure there will be some nice additions when the season begins. So, as things are getting pretty slow… let’s take a break. I’ll step away from the computer for a little under two weeks. Time to hang out with The Banktress and take a breath. There will still be an article or two, but I won’t fill this space. When I return, we’ll get back […]
