The Baltimore Ravens and the agent for QB Joe Flacco met again Sunday, July 29, to discuss a new contract for the quarterback. The meeting was held at the team’s training complex in Maryland. Both sides have been increasing discussions in recent weeks. Flacco is in the final year of his rookie deal.

This is how I’m known in the world. You definitely get a little scared, but (you) keep going.’

Jacksonville Jaguars DL Terrance Knighton (eye) is almost fully recovered from a left eye injury suffered while trying to break up a bar fight in early April. In addition, he checked in at trainingcamp at less than 330 pounds. ‘I feel great and I’m just ready to get out there now,’ Knighton said Sunday, July 29. He remains on the Physically-Unable-to-Perform (PUP) list, and the team is being very cautious with his return. They don’t want to put him in contact drills until his eye is fully healed.

San Francisco 49ers OL Leonard Davis reported to camp at 355 pounds, down 15 pounds from the weight he entered the NFL in 2001 with the Arizona Cardinals. Davis is competing with OG Alex Boone for the starting job at right guard.

Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers WR Michael Crabtree (ankle, foot) missed practice Sunday, July 29. General manager Trent Baalke said the injury is not a long-term concern. The injury is to his right ankle foot, which is not the foot he has had problems with in the past.
