Jets | Rex Ryan remains confident in his abilities
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said he believes he is the best defensive football coach in the NFL. ‘I look at myself as the best defensive coach in football,’ Ryan said. ‘That’s saying something, because Dick LeBeau is pretty darn good. Bill Belichick is pretty good. But that’s the way I’ve always believed. And you know what, I believe it, because the guys I coach with, there’s no doubt about that, and the guys I have coached. But that’s the truth, that’s kind of how I feel, and I’m going to be more involved over there, whether it is calling games or whatever.’

Harvin still won’t reveal why he was so upset with the team just a month ago. Whatever the problem was, Harvin now insists it’s all behind him and the team. ‘We’re all on the same page,’ Harvin said. ‘We’re all just trying to win around here. I talked to coach (Leslie Frazier). Everything is good around here. So I’m ready to get out there, start sweating and get this thing moving.’

Packers | Charles Woodson enjoys switch to safety
Green Bay Packers CB Charles Woodson said he is enjoying his move to safety in the team’s base defense as it will give him additional opportunities to make plays. ‘I think it can in situations where I’m able to kind of roam a little bit and help out,’ Woodson said. ‘It’s different from corner, where you’re usually worried about a particular receiver and how he can threaten you as a corner. As a safety, you get to move around a little bit more and show different looks and not have that responsibility of just having one guy. It will be fun to play more safety. I’m getting a lot more of the calls as a safety. I’m used to being out at corner and seeing plays from that angle. To be able to play at safety and really, really, really understand the play even more, I think will play to my advantage.’
