Redskins | Clear pecking order at QB

Last season the Washington Redskins entered training camp and the preseason with a quarterback controversy. This season, QB Robert Griffin III enters as the clear-cut starter, with QB Rex Grossman back this season to serve as the primary backup. Rookie QB Kirk Cousins is also in camp, and he’ll serve as the No. 3 quarterback.

Redskins | Competition at safety

Washington Redskins FS Brandon Meriweather and SS Madieu Williams aren’t considered the safest projected starters in the NFL. Head coach Mike Shanahan wanted to make his roster deeper, and he worked to grab plenty of talent at the position. Safeties Reed Doughty, DeJon Gomes, Michael Hamlin, Tanard Jackson and Eain Smith will all be looking to move up the depth chart.

Cowboys | Mike Jenkins expected in camp this week

Dallas Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins (shoulder) is expected to report to training camp this week, but he is upset about being demoted to third on the depth chart behind free-agent signee CB Brandon Carr and rookie CB Morris Claiborne. He skipped the team’s voluntary portion of the offseason program, refusing to allow the team to supervise him as he recovers from shoulder surgery.
