Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett offered his support Wednesday, July 25, for troubled WR Dez Bryant, who is facing jail time and a suspension by the NFL for his arrest last week on a Class A misdemeanor for assaulting his mother. ‘I have spoken to Dez a number of times since the incident last week,’ Garrett said. ‘First and foremost we support Dez Bryant’s family. We support Dez. We support his mom, we want to help them in any way that we can. We have the resources to do that.’

Penn State needed to be punished, but lack of due process by NCAA is troubling

An incensed public craved it, and it’s hard to argue Penn State didn’t deserve it, but did the NCAA’s swift punishment set a bad precedent? Tony Barnhart says hopefully this is a unique case, but the lack of due process sure is unsettling.
