Cowboys | Dez Bryant supports rules placed on him

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant’s advisor, David Wells, said Bryant is ‘100 percent’ behind the rules and restrictions the team placed on him in an effort to protect him from off-field trouble. ‘Dez came to light, himself, based on a couple of instances that happened with other NFL players,’ Wells said. ‘He realized that he wanted to make some changes himself. He wanted to put some people around him that could also be there in case something happened, they’d be able to attest to what’s going on with him.’

Jets | Starters attend leadership conference

New York Jets QBs Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow, WR Santonio Holmes, CB Darrelle Revis and LB Bart Scott were absent from practice Tuesday, Aug. 28, to attend an off-site leadership seminar. Head coach Rex Ryan and the coaching staff also attended. ‘We just had such a great experience as a coaching staff, and I’m hoping the players have the same kind of experience we had,’ Ryan said. ‘It was something I thought all of us gained some things out of, and you saw a lot about each other, and I thought that was good.’
