Jaguars | Justin Blackmon not worried about slow start

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has just four receptions for 31 yards on the season, in addition to being targeted 15 times; however, he is not concerned over the slow start. ‘I guess they’re all concerned,’ Blackmon said. ‘I have nothing to be concerned about.’ Head coach Mike Mularkey is preaching patience. ‘I just told him to be patient, ‘It’s coming. We’ll get you the ball. There’s going to be a time that you’ll understand what we’re doing,” Mularkey said. ‘I think he’s handling it very well. He’s doing everything we ask him to do. This would be a nice game to be a breakout game for him. But he’s just got to be patient. It will come in due time when everything else starts to fall in place.’

Saints | TV network to focus on Jonathan Vilma

New Orleans Saints LB Jonathan Vilma revealed via his Twitter account Wednesday, Sept. 26, that ESPN is working on a ‘character study’ of Vilma and suspended defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. Vilma posted a photo of a letter sent to one of his former teammates with the New York Jets from an ESPN producer asking for an interview about Vilma. The letter said the sports network was preparing a ‘character study’ of Vilma and Williams that would run this weekend.
