New York Jets RB Joe McKnight accepts his new role as a cornerback, but he is not happy about the position switch. I was drafted as a running back,’ McKnight said. ‘The way I took it as I wasn’t good enough to play running back; that’s what I took it as. I don’t know if that’s the case or not.’ McKnight, however, will still have a role on offense.

Raiders | Andre Carter agreed to injury waiver
Updating a previous report, the Oakland Raiders made DE Andre Carter (back, quadriceps) sign an injury waiver for his back and quadriceps, according to sources. Carter tore his quad in Week 15 last season when he was with the New England Patriots, and he is still not back to full strength after surgery. The waiver would financially protect the Raiders in the event Carter suffers a setback with either his back or quadriceps injuries.

Broncos | Fran Tarkenton no fan of Joe Mays
Hall of Fame QB Fran Tarkenton said Wednesday, Sept. 26, that Denver Broncos LB Joe Mays ‘should have been suspended for one year’ for his Week 3 hit against Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub. Mays was suspended for one game by the NFL, and has since appealed the punishment.
Our View: Tarkenton getting a little oversensitive here. Mays is far from a dirty player. In fact, he sought out Schaub twice after the game to apologize for the big hit. Schuab lowered his head before impact and that’s why his helmet (and part of his ear) came off. No matter what the league does they can never legislate the violence out of this game.
