Chiefs | Virtually no chance Dwayne Bowe gets traded

There is virtually no chance Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe will get traded before the deadline Thursday, Nov. 1. The cost for Bowe is expected to be at least a third-round draft pick, and a team would have to pay him the $5 million left on his deal with no guarantees he will re-sign after the season.

Jaguars | Receive mid-round draft choice

The Jacksonville Jaguars received a mid-round draft pick from the Detroit Lions Tuesday, Oct. 30, in exchange for WR Mike Thomas.

Our View: With the emergence of second-year WR Cecil Shorts it made Thomas expendable. The Jags will continue to feature Shorts as a go-to WR for QB Blaine Gabbert and his big play ability makes him an attractive flex play every week.

Lions | Mike Thomas acquired

The Detroit Lions acquired WR Mike Thomas from the Jacksonville Jaguars Tuesday, Oct. 30. It’s unknown at this time what Jacksonville received in return for Thomas.

Our View: The Lions needed more depth in the WR corps after losing Nate Burleson for the rest of the season. Thomas gives them veteran depth and can help out as a return man as well. We don’t think his arrival will cut into the playing time for rookie Ryan Broyles as the slot WR.
