NFL | Marquise Goodwin makes big impression

Texas WR Marquise Goodwin has thoroughly impressed scouts this week at the Senior Bowl with his explosiveness off the line of scrimmage and ability to find another gear with the ball in gear. His performance this week has left a very good impression on teams in need of a home run hitter at the receiver position.

NFL | Ezekiel Ansah has work to do

BYU DE Ezekiel Ansah is physically gifted but has plenty of developing to do. His bull rush during the Senior Bowl this week was rarely effective and was highly predictable other than one inside spin move. Several teams are concerned with Ansah’s production this week, but others are intrigued with the upside that he possesses.

Eagles | Chip Kelly will have to adjust his practices

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly will not be able to run the same practice schedule he ran with the Oregon Ducks in the NFL. Because of having fewer players in the NFL, Kelly is going to have to adapt his practice routine. “It really depends on how many guys you have, and obviously everybody [in the NFL] is the same,” Kelly said recently after a Senior Bowl practice in Mobile, Ala. “Training camp is going to be different because you’ve got more guys there and then when you get in during the season you’ve got 61 guys, counting your practice squad, but not everyone is healthy. A lot of times that becomes a daily adjustment. We can’t practice … on Tuesday like we did on Wednesday because we’ve got two or three guys short.”

NFL | Oday Aboushi struggles

Virginia OT Oday Aboushi struggled at the Senior Bowl this week, and most team think he’ll be better served lining up inside as an offensive guard in the NFL. He’s been hurt by athletic edge rushers because of his lack of quickness and agility. Aboushi isn’t very comfortable at guard yet, though, and he projects as a midround player.
