Denver Broncos CB Champ Bailey said QB Peyton Manning talked with the players from the AFC and NFC Tuesday, Jan. 22, in an attempt to try to make the Pro Bowl more competitive. ‘(Manning’s talk) meant a lot because I think we do get over here and get relaxed,’ Bailey said. ‘The sense of urgency leading up to the game isn’t there. It takes something like that to get you going, to understand the importance of it. I get it. We should play hard.’ The AFC team is expected to practice harder this week to get ready for the game. Manning said the play in the last two Pro Bowl has been unacceptable which is why NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is considering getting rid of the game.
