Our View: It certainly didn’t make Brees any better. He had his lowest completion percentage since 2003 and the second highest interception total of his career. He should improve his quality of play this year, even if his already lofty fantasy stats don’t have much room to grow.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said the main reason the team fired former defensive coordinator Rob Ryan was the lack of turnovers the defense created under Ryan. Garrett said the additions of defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin and defensive line coach Rod Marinelli will help with more turnovers.
Our View: Ryan isn’t totally to blame. The Cowboys outstanding inside linebackers, Sean Lee and Bruce Carter, both ended the season on injured reserve, and their safeties failed to make big plays all year because they just weren’t very good. This could end up backfiring on Jerry Jones.
