NFL | Marcus Lattimore to start running soon

South Carolina RB Marcus Lattimore (knee) said he will start running Monday, Feb. 23, and will be on a running program. Lattimore will not be running 40-yard dashes so he can be timed.

Our View: Great news for Lattimore here. If healthy he would have been a top 10 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. After this second knee injury we could see him slide to the late second-round. Lattimore wants to be ready to play at the beginning of the regular season but some think he may be bound for the PUP list or IR during his rookie year.

The Baltimore Ravens met with Hadley Engelhard, agent for impending free-agent Dannell Ellerbe, Friday, Feb. 22, about a new contract for Ellerbe. Engelhard said the meeting went well and that he understands the team will deal with Ellerbe after they deal with impending free-agent QB Joe Flacco’s contract situation.

Our View: Robinson is trying to make the switch to WR at the pro level. He’s had a rough time of the transition so far and struggled at the Senior Bowl earlier this year.
