Chiefs | Still interested in Branden Albert
The Kansas City Chiefs are still interested in retaining impending free-agent OT Branden Albert; however, the team could very well take Texas A&M OT Luke Joeckel with the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft. The Chiefs could let Albert walk, draft Joeckel and use the money intended for Albert to help improve other areas.

Packers | Mike McCarthy defends team’s toughness
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy does not agree with critics who feel his team has grown soft over the last couple of seasons. ‘To me, we’re a physical, tough football team,’ McCarthy said. ‘I totally disagree. I don’t know how you can put the tape on and say the Green Bay Packers aren’t physical.’ McCarthy added the team plays the same way it did during their Super Bowl campaign. ‘How do we play any different from the approach, the identity today that we did in 2010?’ McCarthy said. ‘How do you swing that far? You don’t go from here to here.’ The Packers are a passing team that struggles to run against base defenses. On defense, they have ranked 26th each of the past two seasons in average yards allowed per rush.

NFL | Is Charles Woodson receiving interest?
Free-agent CB Charles Woodson (Packers) may have difficulty landing with a new team this offseason, according to Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell. ‘I think it will be tough,’ said Caldwell, who isn’t interested in signing Woodson. ‘But it only takes one team that says, ‘Hey, this is a big need for us. This is our year and he may give us a (lift).’ He still has a little juice in his legs.’ An unnamed scout added he has concerns whether Woodson is a leader. ‘To me, he’s got another year or two left in the tank, probably in a situational playing capacity as an inside player. I think he could start at safety, but you’d be worried a little bit. Safety is the last line of defense,’ the scout said. ‘The more people I talk to, he’s a veteran presence, yes. But that leadership element? Maybe not.’
