The Cleveland Browns have studied Alabama OG Chance Warmack and North Carolina OG Jonathan Cooper, but the team is unlikely to select either at No. 6 overall. However, either of the players could be in play if the Browns elect to trade down.

The Cleveland Browns made it clear this offseason that they want QB Brandon Weeden to take more of a leadership role, and he’s accepted the challenge. He is the clear-cut starter over QB Jason Campbell, although the coaches still could still use the newcomer Campbell if they feels he gives them the best chance to win. Since current management did not draft Weeden, he is believed to have less room for error.

Buffalo Bills LB Nigel Bradham is expected to play at weak-side linebacker in the team’s hybrid 3-4 defensive system, and it is a spot he feels most comfortable. ‘Oh yeah, it’s definitely nice to be back over there,’ Bradham said. ‘The role I had last year, I fit the team well and the coaches felt like that was best so I went out and played it.’ From the weak-side, he is expected to be able to use his power and speed more.

Buffalo Bills LB Manny Lawson will take over as the strong-side linebacker, and LB Marcus Dowtin will help provide depth. General manager Buddy Nix feels the team’s linebacker depth is better. ‘I think we’ve got some talent there, and a lot more than people think,’ Nix said. ‘We’ll know more with his group after we get through OTAs.’

Sophomore quarterback Joel Stave threw for 161 yards and a touchdown as Wisconsin’s defense beat the offense 61-47 in the team’s spring scrimmage on Saturday.
Tigers quarterbacks Zach Mettenberger and Stephen Rivers had huge passing numbers in LSU’s spring game, carving up a secondary full of walk-ons to give the White team a 37-0 win over Purple on Saturday.
