Dolphins | Allowed to talk with Branden Albert
The Miami Dolphins have received permission to talk with Kansas City Chiefs OT Branden Albert to help facilitate a trade for a 2013 second-round draft choice. Albert is expected to meet with the Dolphins in the next few days to undergo a physical and talk about a new contract.
Our View: The Dolphins could use a Left Tackle after losing Jake Long (Rams) in free agency. Albert could step in and start on the left side for the Dolphins. A move that would keep second-year OT Jonathan Martin on the right side.

NFL | Cordarrelle Patterson a concern for teams
There are reportedly some red flags regarding Tennessee WR Cordarrelle Patterson’s value heading into the NFL Draft. Evaluators love his size and athleticism, but he also has some mental hurdles to overcome. ‘Mentally, it’s going to be a project,’ according to one league personnel man. ‘Running routes, he doesn’t know how to do any of that stuff. You may have to keep it simple for him, but this is football. It’s not building a super glider or anything.’ An AFC personnel director added, ‘Toward the end of the year, they started to go away from running Patterson down the field on routes and gave him the ball on reverses and screens, even as a halfback at times. That starts to put a question mark in your head. Why? Well, there’s reasons, and it’s just not being as proficient with his route-running and not having the ability to make adjustments during the game.’
