Vikings | Chris Kluwe ready to compete for job
Minnesota Vikings P Chris Kluwe said he is ready to compete with P Jeff Locke for the team’s punter job. ‘If they don’t know my character by now, then they’re probably not ever going to figure it out,’ Kluwe said. ‘I am here to compete. I’m here to do the best job that I possibly can. It doesn’t matter if they draft someone or they bring someone in or whatever. I’m here to do my job to the best of my ability.’

49ers | Marcus Lattimore thinks he can be in pads in a few months
San Francisco 49ers RB Marcus Lattimore (knee) said he believes he can get in pads in three to four months but understands that the 49ers may want to take his recovery slow to make sure he is fully healthy before his plays.
Our View: It’s good to see that Lattimore is progressing so well but the coaching staff has already said they won’t rush him onto the field until they know he is 100%. No need to rush him with Frank Gore healthy and efficient, so look for an impact later in the season, perhaps even in 2014. Patience is key with Lattimore.

Jaguars | Denard Robinson expected to be RB
The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to use WR Denard Robinson as a running back next season.
Our View: Running Back or Wide Receiver, Robinson is a project. His dynamic style, ability to break loose a long run and the difficulty defenders have bringing him down fit running back better than wide receiver, especially with the issues he’s had getting used to catching the ball (in part due to lingering nerve damage in his arm). An interesting mid to late round fantasy pick to stash on your dynasty roster.

Packers | RB coach thinks rookie RBs can play every down
Green Bay Packers running backs coach Alex Van Pelt said he believes RBs Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin can both be three-down backs for the team.
Our View: Given that James Starks might be on the block and Alex Green gets chipped up, the Packers have to hope one of these guys can fill in at least to help out DuJuan Harris.
