Texans | DeAndre Hopkins selected 27th overall

The Houston Texans selected Clemson WR DeAndre Hopkins with the 27th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: Andre Johnson wanted someone else to play receiver with him and he got his wish. Hopkins is a great route runner with good hands who will help Matt Schaub regain his form. How much opportunity he will have to put up yards behind Johnson and Arian Foster is a big question mark and will keep his value down early in his career.

Packers | Datone Jones selected 26th overall

The Green Bay Packers selected UCLA DE Datone Jones with the 26th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: The Packers ignored the temptation of running back and safety to add a solid pass rusher who finally reached his potential in his last year at UCLA. Jones is a well-coached guy who can seal the edge.

Vikings | Xavier Rhodes selected 25th overall

The Minnesota Vikings selected Florida State CB Xavier Rhodes with the 25th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: Theft number two for the Vikings, who needed a corner to replace Antoine Winfield and get an outstanding cornerback in Rhodes-a guy some argue was one the top corner in the draft. In the NFC North and NFC you have to stop the pass and Rhodes is going to help keep things close for the Vikings this season.

Vikings | Sharrif Floyd selected 23rd overall

The Minnesota Vikings selected Florida DT Sharrif Floyd with the 23rd overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: The precipitous drop of Floyd ends in Minnesota as the Vikes add one of the top players in the draft. A big, solid middle of the defense guy, this is going to help a defense which became a sieve last season against the run.
