Our View: Vaccaro steps into a secondary with a clear need for his services and will get a chance to generate some turnovers as teams have to throw to catch up with the Saints’ offense.

The Carolina Panthers selected Utah DT Star Lotulelei with the 14th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: Panther fans have to be overjoyed to see one of the best players in the draft-and a guy who fills a need- fall to them with the arrival of Lotulelei. Don’t worry about the heart issue-he’s fine. A little more consistency and Lotulelei can be a beast.

The New York Jets selected Missouri DT Sheldon Richardson with the 13th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: The Jets surprise Radio City by taking their fourth defensive lineman in the last few years in high rounds. Richardson was probably one of the best players on the board but it’s hard to see exactly how he’ll fit in this defense.

The Oakland Raiders selected Houston CB D.J. Hayden with the 12th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: The Raiders need help just about everywhere and Hayden is a guy with great ball skills who had some concern due to a heart issue. If healthy, he’ll be a great help to a problematic secondary.

The San Diego Chargers selected Alabama OT D.J. Fluker with the 11th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: The Chargers have needed offensive line help for a very long time, so taking Fluker so much earlier than anyone had the Alabama tackle going. Fluker may be a much better right tackle – or guard – than he ever will be a left tackle.
