Jets | Dee Milliner selected ninth overall

The New York Jets selected Alabama CB Dee Milliner with the ninth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: With Darrelle Revis gone and Antonio Cromartie near the end of his contract, the Jets needed a cornerback and Kyle Wilson was not the answer. The gamble here is whether Milliner is a true top corner or not and if he’s able to stay healthy.

Rams | Tavon Austin selected eighth overall

The St. Louis Rams selected West Virginia WR Tavon Austin with the eighth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: Sam Bradford lost two weapons in Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson, but adding Austin will help ease that pain. A dynamic player with the ball in his hand, he will have a tremendous impact from Day One for Bradford and the Rams. Expect him to get passes early and often as Bradford looks to him to help turn things around.

Cardinals | Jonathan Cooper selected seventh overall

The Arizona Cardinals selected North Carolina OG Jonathan Cooper with the seventh overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: The Cardinals offensive line was officially declared a disaster area in 2012, and Cooper is a big, nasty guard who could really help change the nature of a bad offensive line.

Lions | Ezekiel Ansah selected fifth overall

The Detroit Lions selected Brigham Young DE Ezekiel Ansah with the fifth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Our View: Ansah has an incredibly high ceiling but his rawness could give him a very low floor. If he can smooth the rough edges, he could be a deadly outside pass rusher with the attention Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley will garner.
