Our View: If healthy Helu should be the primary backup behind Alfred Morris. However, the team may have to add another RB in the draft if Helu continues to struggle with durability.

New York Giants running backs coach Jerald Ingram said the team has discussed the possibility of signing free-agent RB Brandon Jacobs (49ers) this offseason.

Our View: Jacobs washed out with the 49ers but could feel right at home with his former team. If added he would give the team veteran depth, but would be unlikely to get many touches behind David Wilson and Andre Brown.
