Ravens | Interested in Lane Johnson

The Baltimore Ravens are keeping an eye on Oklahoma OT Lane Johnson with the hope of trying to trade up for him in the NFL Draft. The Ravens, who hold 12 picks in the draft, have options and could afford to move up.

Our View: The Ravens have a hole to fill on the left side of the O-Line if they don’t bring Bryant McKinnie back in 2013. Johnson is considered the third best OT in this draft class behind Luke Joeckel (Texas A&M) and Eric Fisher (Central Michigan). He could be off the board at number four to the Eagles or fifth overall to the Lions. The Ravens will have to trade up from 32nd overall if they want to select the rookie.

NFL | Geno Smith wants to prove critics wrong

West Virginia QB Geno Smith said he has a chip on his shoulder after critics have argued that this year’s class of quarterback prospects is not as good as the 2012 class. ‘Everyone hears all that talk … about us not having a quarterback class that can live up to last year’s quarterback class and as a competitor I take that very personal,’ Smith said. ‘I want to thank them for continuing to fueling that fire and allowing that chip on my shoulder to grow.’
