Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson said he has been around the NFL long enough to know when injuries are serious. He does not think RB Arian Foster’s (calf) injury is serious.

Our View: A good sign for the Texans’ back here, but nothing definitive. Head coach Gary Kubiak stated earlier that he was concerned about this calf injury. Foster has played 16 games in two of the last three seasons. He did have durability concerns when he came out of college in 2009.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Dexter McCluster (hamstring) did not participate in practice Tuesday, May 28.

Our View: McCluster is an explosive athlete so a hamstring injury could really slow him down. No word on the severity at this time but the team won’t rush him back until he’s ready.

Green Bay Packers DL Johnny Jolly has not joined the team for organized team activities. Head coach Mike McCarthy said he will address Jolly’s situation when he returns to the team.

Our View: Jolly is attempting a comeback in the NFL after being out of the league for three seasons. He was a 16-game starter in 2009 but was arrested multiple times for drug offenses after that. His roster spot is not guaranteed in 2013.

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles C Jason Kelce (knee) said he will play the entire 2013 season with a knee brace.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew allegedly knocked out a security guard at a restaurant in Florida Sunday, May 27.

Our View: Jones-Drew has been charged with misdemeanor battery for his part in this bar fight. It reportedly all started when one of his friends was told to stop touching a female patron at the bar. Things escalated when the friend was put in a headlock by the security guard who was then allegedly punched out by Jones-Drew. We’ll see the legal process wrap up before any sort of suspension or fine is handed out by the league.

Pittsburgh Steelers DE Al Woods said the team wants him to be able to play all three defensive line spots. Woods has been working at nose tackle with the second-team defense during workouts.
