Packers | Some believe Eddie Lacy may have toe problems soon

At least three teams were told by their medical teams that Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (toe) could have problems with his surgically-repaired toe within the next two to three years.

Our View: Medical problems were the reason why the Broncos chose Montee Ball instead of Eddie Lacy in the 2013 NFL draft. Lacy is a fine runner and is light on his feet for a big man. However, his durability issues (in only 14 college starts) led many teams to pass on Lacy.

Chiefs | Coach impressed with Tyson Jackson

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said he has been impressed with how DE Tyson Jackson has worked on improving his play this offseason. ‘I’ve been impressed since we’ve been together here. Not many guys are going to outwork him on the field. Pass rush was not his forte, but he’s working like crazy to get better. As a coach, that’s all you can ask for. He’s a big man who can move a little bit,’ Reid said.

Our View: Jackson has never played up to his potential as a pro. We’ll see if that changes this year under the Andy Reid regime.

Vikings | Chris Summers could compete for No. 5 WR job

Minnesota Vikings WR Chris Summers could be a candidate to win the No. 5 wide receiver job during training camp. He has added around 12 pounds this offseason and has been working on his receiving mechanics.

Our View: An interesting note for fantasy owners in super deep dynasty leagues. Summers has a good size/speed combination (6’5″ 220) and spent last year on the team’s practice squad. We’ll see if he can break through to the active roster in 2013.

Jaguars | Ace Sanders could push for No. 3 WR job

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Ace Sanders could compete with WR Jordan Shipley for the No. 3 wide receiver job during offseason workouts and training camp.

Our View: Shipley has good hands but durability issues have held him back during his entire pro career. Sanders is extremely quick, agile, and fast in the open field. He can pick up yards after the catch and may end up winning a bigger role on offense than some people think.

Steelers | Ramon Foster looking to improve play

Pittsburgh Steelers OG Ramon Foster said he is looking to improve his play and become a more dominant player. ‘I just want to work on my consistency,’ Foster said. ‘That’s one of the biggest things. I’ve been solid, but I want to be more dominant and be more consistent in being dominant. That’s my next step, to make a name for myself and help this team out in a bigger role.’
